We believe God’s Church includes people of all ages; our 1st graders believing in Jesus are not just the church of tomorrow, they are part of the Church today. High School students following Jesus as they sort through the challenges of life are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they lead in the Church today. We endeavor to provide an encouraging environment where people of all ages can grow and thrive in their relationships with each other and God.
We have two rules in all our ministry:
Everyone is treated with love and respect
No Exclusion (and that includes no self-exclusion)
These two rules help us shape our environment where everyone is welcome and feels safe and cared for, no matter what you believe, what church you worship with or what age you are. A friend who hangs out with us at Youth Group recently said, “I’m not sure what I believe about Jesus, I just like being here. Is that OK?” Yeah, that’s OK, everyone is welcome.
We all love hanging out with our friends and getting to know new friends too, so we have student ministry to encourage students to have fun with their peers and interact with God together. We break out our student ministry according to the same grades of Central DeWitt Community Schools to allow everyone to be with the same people they see in the halls at school.

Tweens is an energetic open group of students in the Intermediate School grades 4-6. We get together almost every week all year round on Wednesdays from 5-6:30p. We play lots of games and sometimes we don’t even realize how much we are engaging with each other and God as we play. We discuss God’s word in the Bible in a way that encourages participation. And we save a couple weeks every season just for Questions & Answers to the things rolling around in tween minds. Tweens are in between kids and teens in this special place where so much is changing, so we want to be there to encourage them and build them up. We go to camp for a retreat every September.

Youth Dinner is provided by various people in the church for students involved in Youth Group every Wednesday 6:30-7p during the school year. We understand your kids have a lot going on, with school, music lessons, sports practice, Faith Foundations and jobs. We want to help make sure that everyone gets to come to Youth Group even if they don’t have time to go home and catch a bite. So we provide a quick and simple dinner before Youth Group.
If you are interested in helping to provide or serve dinner before FOUNDRY, please give us a call, (563) 659-9444.
Youth Group is for students in Middle School and High School in grades 7-12. We get together almost every Wednesday all year long. We have students from multiple churches, no church background and Emmaus Road getting together to have fun, hang with friends and get to know who God is and how He impacts us. We discuss relevant issues in students lives and we reserve a couple weeks every season for Q&A night so students can write/text/Tweet and FB any question. We have 2 Rules: Treat everyone with Love & Respect and No Exclusion (that includes no self-exclusion). These help us shape the environment so everyone feels cared for. We play games, eat amazing sugary treats, sing and hang out. It’s so much fun being with teens as we follow Jesus together. We have multiple trips every year, so contact one of the leaders for more information. Middle School Mania at Inspiration Point Camp in October, Winter Weekend for High School students at Inspiration Point in February, Summer Camps, Youth Convention at Estes Park, Colorado every other year in August and a couple more I’m sure I’m forgetting.
