Brandon Pangman - Lead Pastor
“And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ”
1 John 5:20
All because one guy, who I never met before, walked up to me and shared the story of Jesus Christ my life was never the same. My disappointment, guilt and shame were replaced by the truth of knowing Jesus’ life, death and resurrection set me free!
It is from this lens that I live as a husband, father and friend. It is also because of this knowledge that I became a pastor. I have been a pastor since 2009 and I’ve been blessed to serve in DeWitt since August of 2017.
My wife, Jenny, and I have been married since 2000. We have 3 children; Mya, Ian and Eli.
My favorite “hobby” is going out to eat with friends. I love sitting down and just talking about life over a meal! As you read this just know that I hope someday to grab a meal with you too.

Matt Schweitzer - Worship & Student Ministries
I was raised in a Christian home, and my Dad is a Lutheran Brethren pastor, but even still, God’s call to ministry was impressed upon my life at an early age. Soon after I graduated high school, I was on staff at a church as a Worship Director. That was an excellent time of growth for me as I learned what it meant to be a part of a church staff team, and how to serve the people of a church. I also had the opportunity to attend and graduate from 10,000 Fathers Worship School, and hone my skills in discipleship and leading worship in music.
Fast-forward to 2018, and my family and I answered God’s call to join him in his work in the community of DeWitt, at Emmaus Road Church. I serve in the Tweens (4th-6th) and Youth Group (7th-12th) ministries, and also lead the music teams and Worship Gatherings on Sunday mornings. I am taking classes towards my Masters of Divinity degree at Lutheran Brethren Seminary, and hope to graduate in 2020.
My wife, Emily and I have been married since 2012, and have blessed with 3 children: Oliver, Clara, and Ellie. I love that I get to spend my weekdays as a stay-at-home Dad to them. God has given me a passion for discipling people and teaching them to engage in a life of worship to him, and I am excited to be a part of his kingdom work here in DeWitt.
